Poverty vs Corporatocracy

In memory of Omar Torrijos and Jaime Roldos

As america moved with its global empires, taking over the world and throwing countries into massive debt, with the countries poor having to suffer and die for centries to come, only a hand full of countries stood up to them.

Omar Torrijos, elected general of Panama. A president for the people, determined to spread wealth for the few to the many.
“Omars ideal is freedom; the missle is not invented that can kill an ideal”
he negotiated with the imperial corporatocracy for his country men.
He also brought the pannama cannel back to the panama people, through negotiations with president carter.

Jaime Roldos was the first democratic president of Ecoudor. As with Torrijos, he pushed for change.
He introduced a revolutionary policy, the hydrocarbons policy which was aimed at moving the riches from the oil companies to the poor. A spread of equity.

“These men were not Castros or Gadhafis. They were not associated with Russia or China or as in Allende’s case, with the international Socialists movement. They were popular, intelligent, charismatic leaders who were pragmatic instead of dogmatic. They were nationalistic but not anti-american.”-John Perkins

Both was assisinated in 1981 through the CIA and newly elected Reagan administration. Yet it didn’t even make the news papers in america.

However there view on economic policy and their stand against the imperial corporotocracy will not be forgotten.
