dota...
a team game.... unlike any other games iv played.
in counter strike- if your good, you can kill there whole team.
in dota, if your good, u may not be first blood.
this is a team game. and so if you do not play as a team, you wont win.
so how is it, that people that play games sooo much.... can suck sooo much at a team game....
they have NO team work skills.
its like a team full of lone wolves.
and it gets nowhere....
they all just die... bad guys get stronger... i get owned.
just great...
if anyone knows anyone that wants to join in, am looking for 2 more people in christchurch by sunday...

What I've realised with Dota, is that there is a plateau in which you must ascend to before a lot of teamplay comes in. Learn the mechanics of everything from the ground up and then think things over.
Early game is not about team play.It's mostly solo.
Mid game is about items.
Late game is about team play.
You must learn the art of "fishing and baiting" before anything can be initiated. Learn to predict their movements. Your team mates must back you up and the key thing is,
COMMUNICATION IS PRIORITY
watch replays man, if you play as a team, games are over after level 6.
iv watched a friends team, destroy another team, even though as individuals, the teams were matched.
team work is a huge part. which is why i like dota, and why so many people are not great at it. if you cannot co-operate, and treat it like counterstike, you just wont win.
Meh, replays are only summaries of how OTHER people play.
Games can be fluid and it simply boils down to who can wing it better.
And plus, I think you take DotA WAYYYYYY too seriously to actually post something like this lol. It's a game. You enjoy it. You can enjoy winning and trying out different strategies etc but in the end, it's still a game.
The Otago crew will show you how we have "fun" while we win/lose whatever. We play for fun, not necessarily winning
